Kate is an experienced people leader and organisational development professional, with over 20 years’ experience working in public sector executive roles.
Her coaching style is friendly, supportive, and warm; quickly establishing a high trust environment with her clients. This approach, combined with her active listening skills and positive but challenging questioning, assists leaders in navigating obstacles and unpacking complex situations.
Kate has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges of being a public service leader in today’s complex and ever-changing workplace. Her background in people and culture across various organisations allows her to provide well-rounded coaching services to leaders tackling the challenges of leading people and organisations.
Her commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging is evident through numerous initiatives she has spearheaded. As a Rainbow ally, she has made significant contributions to the rainbow community. She has also proactively worked on approaches to improve the recruitment and retention of Māori and Pacific early career academics.
In addition to coaching, she is a skilled facilitator and consultant, offering a holistic approach to leadership development.
Kate is an associate certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, DISC Flow Certified and a Belbin facilitator.
