Ashley Cheeseman is a pre-qualified facilitator for Te Kaihautū | New People Leader Development.

Ashley served as an adult educator in the tertiary sector from 2003-2010. Since 2010, he has specialised in leadership courses for public service sectors, notably the New Zealand Defence Force, NZ Army, and Fire and Emergency NZ. In addition to his instructional roles, he is also the facilitator of the Fire and Emergency NZ Group Manager and District Manager Technical Competency Framework Development Courses.
Currently and since 2019, Ashley is the leadership facilitator for the two-week Incident and Leadership Development Course at Fire & Emergency NZ, boasting 250 graduates and adding 100 graduated participants annually.
Ashley exudes a serene and upbeat demeanor, always arriving prepared and grounded. A gifted conversationalist, he prioritises a participant-focused methodology that fosters trust and cultivates meaningful discussions on contemporary leadership content.

Ashley brings an advanced understanding of contemporary leadership theory through his postgraduate studies and is further enriching his expertise with a part-time master's in organisational psychology starting in October 2023. His distinct approach in session design ensures tailored, high-impact learning experiences, addressing diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Ashley's proven proficiency lies in effectively engaging and empowering practically minded learners.
