Melissa Hare is a pre-qualified facilitator for Te Kaihautū | New People Leader Development.

Mel is a leadership facilitator and coach who draws out ‘aha’ moments through probing questions, learning models and overlaying a wealth of real-world experience.

Mel has a knack for inspiring new perspectives and helping leaders connect authentically with themselves, their teams and the environment around them. She has a strong belief in people's potential and her passion is to guide leaders and leaders of the future to find their purpose. She has been told that her style is inclusive, insightful, energetic and knowledgeable.

With a strong background in organisational development, Mel brings to life learning in engaging ways. For the last twelve years she worked as a facilitator and coach for a variety of organisations, and has deep experience working in and for the Public Sector. 

Mel has an MBA from Victoria University and continues to have close ties as she is often asked to run guest lectures and short courses. She is a Leadership New Zealand – Pākehā Project alumni and holds International Coaching Federation accredited certifications in coaching as well as a number of profiling tools.

Mel lives in Te Whanganui-a-Tara with her partner and two grown children and is a nature adventurer. She acknowledges Māori as Tangata Whenua and Treaty of Waitangi partners in Aotearoa New Zealand.
